LIST OF REASONS TO BE FINED
List of "crimes" generating our Sergeant at Arms' anger
First let me introduce you our Dear Sergeant at Arms: François de Maurissens
When you see him smiling like that, you could think he is normal... He is... But don't think this kind smile will be kept by this gentleman if you are transgressing our rules. No mercy to anybody and if you don't give him a reason to be fined... Trust him, he will find one...
Unfortunately this year we have to afford 2 Sergeant at Arms because François took a Vice to be present when he couldn't be.
This second (and hopefuly last) gentleman is our Vice Sergeant at Arms: Nessim Atalla
As you see, he is drinking coffee too much to stay in constant alert, he could be the François's son, his mentor, and some time last year (and even this one) he shew us that he could even be worse...
Take care my friends... You are under control... This is what these two guys are thinking, can't you feel it ?
List of "crimes"
1. To be late at our meetings.
2. Not wearing the Rotary sign when coming to our meetings.
3. Receiving phone calls or messages during our meetings.
These are the ones I know... I hope our 2 Sergeant at Arms will give me the whole list...
Now I would like to give some ideas to make our cash register rings even more...
4. Interrupting the speaker whoever he is. It will make a lot of money, if you understand what I mean...
5. Making separate conversations during a presentation or a speech. Another lot more...
6. Being on time all the time... Yes I know, this is not bad, but in France we used to say "too polite to be honest", then we punish them to hide their lateness behind politeness... Another lot more... But less than above...
This is only ideas... But if you have better ones, just tell me and I will put them on line...
We wish a long and productive year for our 2 Dear Sergeant at Arms who are so sweet, so kind, so gentle...
(I hope with all these compliments that I will never be fined until death...)
